Functional Capacity Evaluations

Functional Capacity Evaluation Service

Functional Capacity Evaluations (FCE) assess an individual's physical capacities, for example, the ranges of motion in their joints, their strength, agility, balance, cardiovascular fitness, core stability and lifting capacity. In a pre employment situation, these factors are assessed in comparison to the genuine occupational requirements of a particular job.

They are also extremely important in the rehabilitation of injured workers where the Functional Capacity Evaluation is used to establish a person’s current abilities allowing an accurate prescription of suitable duties for that person’s return to the workforce.
